The Best Of-Peru

Cusco travel tips

The title of this post is somewhat of a misnomer since the 30 photos below are hardly the best. They’re also not necessarily my favorites. But when you visit a country as incredible as Peru, all of your photos are in a way, the best of the best. Choosing which 30 photos to include was undoubtedly tough (in a first world problem kind of way), but hopefully I’ve done a good enough job in showcasing this spectacular nation that you should definitely plan on visiting one day. I loved it immensely and hope I can return in the future.

“I was in Peru and visited a building near Lima built by the Incas. It was low in height, with no windows at all, but all the way in the back there was air movement. And I couldn’t figure out how they’d done it; it was incredible.” –Frank Gehry

“Friends and comrades! On that side [south] are toil, hunger, nakedness, the drenching storm, desertion, and death; on this side ease and pleasure. There lies Peru with its riches; here, Panama and its poverty. Choose, each man, what best becomes a brave Castilian. For my part, I go to the south.” –Francisco Pizarro

“I’m hitting the oxygen like Whitney Houston hits the pipe.” (No Reservations in Cuzco, Peru)- Anthony Bourdain
