Since it’s been more than a week that I made the daring leap (no embellishment there) over from Blogger to WordPress, I thought that an update was in order. Things are going pretty decently I’d say considering Blogger and WordPress are extremely different in more ways than one. I still have a long way to go before becoming anything even remotely akin to a WordPress guru but I’m getting the hang of the “basic stuff” I’d say. While I do have a couple of “reserve” posts in my blogging repository, I didn’t want them to go live until I’m let’s say 95% happy with how my blog looks. While everything was imported successfully, there’s a bit of cleanup and organizing that still needs to be done, mainly on the formatting front. So I plan to spend roughly the next week on “cleanup” duty, all work that is more or less “behind the scenes” (i.e. stuff you probably would never notice).
My big news though (well, it’s new to those who don’t follow me on the various social media channels) is that my first ever book, Full Circle: Tales of Travel and Self-Discovery from Around the World was recently published! It’s a collection of short stories all pertaining to travel. I put a lot of hard work and effort into writing and revising them and hope you would do me the honor of reading them. I will say that it’s just about the coolest thing in the world to see your name on a book. Full Circle is available on Amazon AND Barnes and Noble. And for my non-Americans readers, it’s also available through Amazon United Kingdom and Amazon Europe. I also plan on publishing it for the Kindle in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Even though I’ll still be (relatively) silent on the blogging front for the next week, I will be posting pretty regularly over on Twitter and of course on my Facebook page. Be sure to check out the latter as this month I’m doing a 31 Days of Spain feature where each day I post a different picture of the country that gave us sangria, tapas, and of course, flamenco!
P.S. What do you think of my blog’s new look? I’d love to hear your comments 🙂
