Five Years & Counting

Today D and I celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. It’s unbelievable how fast the years go by (like everything else in life I suppose), but it feels like just yesterday that I donned a gorgeous white dress to get married on an extremely hot and humid August day.

Five Years & Counting

In honor of today’s special day, I thought I would do a numbers roundup of our travels together. Although I’m starting a bit earlier than 2010 since we started traveling together long before then. All in all, I think the numbers are quite impressive since before D met me, he hadn’t really done too much traveling (Niagara Falls, Canada was his only international experience) and we’ve also never been full-time travelers.

Five Years & Counting

While our travel styles (widely) vary, we make it work and travel whenever possible although one party I’m sure would like to stay home a bit more than the other (you can guess who).

Happy Anniversary and all that jazz…

Thanks so much Bridget! It really is true when they say a bride always feels gorgeous on her wedding day. Well, coming from Pittsburgh we almost ALWAYS have to connect otherwise I’m sure our numbers would be lower ha ha. Yes, here here to all of the above πŸ™‚

Happy Anniversary! Sorry I missed your tweet for this.

Love your wedding photos, especially the last one! You looked so beautiful & D looked quite handsome!

Your dress and veil were gorgeous! Love the detailing shown in the second photo. What’s the story behind the blue shoes? Cute!

You are so lucky to have traveling in common. It is something you will enjoy for the rest of your lives.

Wishing you many more wonderful years together and traveling adventures to come! πŸ™‚

Thanks Jo Ann and no worries πŸ™‚
And many thanks for the compliments-I definitely did feel quite gorgeous that day (nothing beats having your hair and makeup professionally done!). I think I may have loved my veil even more than my dress-it meant a lot to have the Spanish mantilla style.

I simply wanted blue shoes. I originally had gold ones but loved the idea of having some blue peeking out from underneath my dress. Our photographer did take a couple of great “shoe” ones!
