Flags from Around the World-A Photo Essay

While seeing your own country’s flag may seem redundant after a while, I love to see flags of foreign countries when I travel. One of the things I adore most about the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics is seeing some of the athletes with their country’s flag draped around them. To me this is such a lovely sight especially since at an event like the Olympics national pride runs so deep. I’m also a flag fan for another reason-I love to see how many I know which country they’re of.

Arc de Triomphe-Paris, France
Altare della Patria-Rome, Italy
Casa Rosada-Buenos Aires, Argentina
Basilica of our Lady of Guadeloupe-Mexico City, Mexico

Praça do Comércio-Lisbon, Portugal
