1.) Located near Yogyakarta on the island of Java, Borobudur is the largest Buddhist monument in the world. Built in the 8th century, Borobudur was buried by 1,000 years of volcanic eruptions. It was discovered in the early 19th century.

2.) Ikat is a traditional type of weaving practiced in Bali, Lombok, Flores and other islands in Indonesia. In ikat, the threads are tie-dyed prior to being woven.

 3.) Some of the very best dividing in the world can be found throughout the Indonesian archipelago. Irian Jaya, Maluku, Komodo, Flores and Sumbawa are some of the country’s best-kept diving spots.
