In honor of my trip to Kentucky I thought I would devote a Friday Fun Facts to it. I’m extremely excited about going since it is after all yet another state I can check off the list. Bourbon, history, Southern cuisine, pretty sure it’s going to be a memorable trip. Be sure to check back for a slew of great pictures and posts!
-Cumberland Falls is known as the “Niagara of the South.”
-The Kentucky Derby is the oldest continuously held horse race in the country. It is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville.
-All bourbons are whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon. Bourbon is also pure and cannot be altered with any color or flavor additives. Only pure water can be added to it once it has been emptied from the barrel.
