“When I die, Dublin will be written in my heart”-James Joyce

Although I’ve shared all the below photos in various posts over the years, I thought it would be nice to have all of Ireland “together.” I only skimmed the surface in terms of what I saw and experienced there but I definitely hope to return one day. It’s a beautiful country with even more lovely people.

I never realized that Ireland was so colorful! Can you elaborate a little on the photos? What’s the story behind the blue and yellow doors? The building in the second photo is really striking!

The landscape photos are breathtaking. All the photos are so perfect they almost look enhanced!

It can be incredibly gray and dreary…but when you get that magical, picture perfect blue sky, it’s amazing.

I didn’t see a lot of the famous Ireland (i.e. Cliffs of Mohr or the Dingle Peninsula) but I do hope to return one day! And yes, it definitely is an emerald isle! Striking landscapes!

Thanks for adding the descriptions! Very interesting story about the doors. They are quite beautiful!

The Garden of Remembrance looks very serene and I love Kilkenny Castle. The statues of Oscar Wilde and James Joyce are charming.

Should have done that to begin with πŸ™‚ Leave it to carousing to be the source of such beautifully painted doors!

The Garden of Remembrance was quite lovely. It was one of the last places I visited in Dublin. It was a serene sad place but tragic all the same knowing how many lives had been lost for the cause of Irish independence.

And yes, Wilde and Joyce are one of a kind!
