This past weekend I traveled to Montréal, Canada and had a lovely time. Although my visit there was extremely short, I still managed to “pack a lot in.” The weather was less than perfect (heavy rains, high temperatures and humidity); however, I made do because that’s generally the mantra of a traveler. I saw some pretty spectacular sights and had some excellent meals (Montréal is known as a culinary masterpiece of a city). I’ve since returned home with a desire to learn more French (Montréal is located in Quebec which is Canada’s only French speaking province), to return (hopefully soon) to Quebec and visit Quebec City which I’ve heard is even more spectacular, and lastly, learn more about Canada, our very friendly neighbor to the north. I know that Canada’s history is often eclipsed by the United State’s, however, it’s just as fascinating in its own right I’m sure. I have a slew of posts and great pictures coming soon but for now, a “sneak peek.”
