It always amazes me when a trip you’ve been planning for months is suddenly here. I bought my plane tickets to Peru at the beginning of March and while it seemed I had all the time in the world to prepare, I leave tomorrow for my South American adventure. While I’ve been to South America before (Argentina and Uruguay), I know that Peru is going to be somewhat different, more on par with Mexico probably, another favorite country of mine.
I’m not going to lie, I feel a bit “out of practice” with Latin America travel since in more recent years, my globetrotting has taken me to Hawaii and Europe. But I’m hoping once I’m there it all comes back to me along with some new discoveries too.
I won’t be blogging when I’m gone, but if you’re new to The Red Headed Traveler, feel free to “look around” since I have been blogging for four years now and have a slew of posts on all different topics. Otherwise, check out my Facebook page which you can access here as I “hope” to post periodic updates and pics.
And if you’re in need of a new book to read, check out my collection of short stories, Full Circle: Tales of Travel and Self-Discovery from Around the World which is available in both print and Kindle format over on Amazon. If you love to travel I promise that you’ll love my book. If you’re interested in getting a copy, click here.
Until then, adios y hasta pronto!
