Where in the World is Matt Lauer-Day 4Posted on November 10, 2011
“Time is of the essence as we train our sights on where it all began for us back in 1998.”
I was extremely busy yesterday so I didn’t get to spend any time trying to decipher the destination clue for day 4. Today Lauer was “at the top of Europe,” Jungfrau Mountain in Switzerland. Here’s a breakdown of the clue: “Time is of the essence” implied Switzerland which is famous for its clocks and watches, while “train our sights” referred to the fact that you need to take a train to get there. Lastly, the very first destination of Where in the World is Matt Lauer back in 1998 was in Cairo, Egypt in front of the Sphinx and this morning Lauer was at the Sphinx Observatory. While Jungfrau looks beyond incredible, I am slightly disappointed that on this latest edition of Where in the World is Matt Lauer (and possibly the last) Lauer has not ventured into the Americas at all. In years past he has visited Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Panama but nothing else, even though there are countless more incredible countries there. This is the second time he’s been to Switzerland, however, he’s never been to Ecuador or Guatemala for instance. I know that the logistics of planning a trip like this are mind boggling, I just think it would be nice if he did more stuff in the Americas. However, there’s still one day left so here’s to hoping!
